To have a continuous flow, the living room and the dining room are situated in the middle of the whole residence, while the worship room and the living room are interconnected without a wall. In so doing, the French windows can be aligned as well, so that the mountains and shady groves can be enjoyed thoroughly from within. As the glass windows blur the space within and without, one can clearly sense the seasonal changes as time goes by.
The most eye-catching part of the design is the main wall of the living room, which starts at the foyer and proceeds diagonally into the living room. On the one hand, it serves as a flow to usher people in. On the other hand, it creates a three-dimensional visual penetration. Its parameterized brick components are hand-made using fine concrete. Through different means of collage, an even and systematic pile-up of three-dimensional triangular bricks is presented. This is used in the wall designs in the foyer, the living room, and the dining room.
The design team combined multiple sources of light to construct a versatile and enriched decorative lexicon. In addition, in places such as the public space, the guest rooms, and the audio-visual room, fun in space is added by means of vibrant, sprightly elements such as high-saturated red sofas and refreshing bluish-green closets.
This 200 square meter residential interior design project, located in Taipei, Taiwan, showcases the meticulous attention to detail and the pursuit of perfection by designer Yu Ching Huang and the design team. The choice of stone materials was carefully considered, with constant searching for the most ideal ones. The design process involved working with an Italian furnishing brand first, focusing on the furnishing style and the choice of different items, and then considering how spatial design could match to achieve the best visual effects.
